Dr. Padget Skogman

Mercy Medical Center

Dr. Padget Skogman is a born and raised Iowa farm girl, wife, mom to three little women and full-time pediatrician.

Skogman graduated from the University of Iowa’s Carver College of Medicine in 2014. Currently, she works at Mercy Medical Center as a Stanford-trained physician wellbeing director and pediatrician.

In addition to these roles, she is a health advocate and content creator who is passionate about real life approaches to wellbeing and health — especially for busy moms and their kids — including limited smartphone/screen use because of its impacts on wellbeing and cognitive development. She is a recognized national leader from the American Academy of Pediatrics and has worked with our state legislature and local schools around cellphone bans at school and children’s health education. She created an ongoing pediatric curriculum for education at Mercy and the surrounding community.

Skogman’s purpose is to empower kids and their parents to be their best version of self through real-life health habits that work for you and your family. She serves on Eastern Iowa’s BreakthroughT1DM board, gives puberty lectures at schools and speaks statewide on children’s health.
