City of Cedar Rapids
Sue Sager is a lifelong learner and catalyst for growth. She has dedicated her life to fostering personal and professional development in others. With everyone she meets, Sager strives to inspire a legacy of love.
Currently serving as the organizational development manager for the City of Cedar Rapids, Sager creates a culture of engagement and empowerment through her collaborative, visionary approach. This cross-department synergy ensures all employees feel heard and valued. She has helped identify and foster the trajectory of many emerging leaders within the community. Before finding her home in Cedar Rapids, she developed leaders at the University of Iowa, as well as in Arizona and Wisconsin.
Beyond her professional impact, Sager is actively engaged in community service and leadership development through her church, local professional association and nonprofit agencies.
In addition to earning two master’s degrees — one in counseling and another in executive leadership — Sager modeled her commitment to lifelong learning by homeschooling her four children. Her children and four grandchildren are her greatest joy, and her heart’s desire is for them to be as proud of her as she is of them.
