Leading by impressive example, Kathy Waychoff can inspire people to volunteer under a variety of circumstances. As District Volunteer Coordinator for College Community Schools and the lead advisor for Prairie High School Key Club, Kathy’s professional and personal life has revolved around volunteering for many years, managing 850-950 volunteers throughout ten schools annually. Kathy established a chapter of Key Club International at Prairie High School and has led student volunteers in giving back to their school and community for the past ten years. Her volunteer service includes the America Reads Metro Committee, Leaders in Volunteerism, Collins Retired Volunteers of lowa, and the Governor’s Awards for Volunteer Service ceremony for Eastern lowa. Her personal volunteer work has included Fairfax Public Library, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, For You Race Against Breast Cancer, the National Council on Youth Leadership, the Fairfax American Legion, Gems of Hope and many local non-profit organizations through the Prairie High School Key Club.
